Call for Justice

Okay, by now you probably should already know that soon to be ex-"Empire" actor Jussie Smollett has made his first court appearance following the felony charge brought on him for making up these serious criminal allegations -- a modern day lynching no less, riling up people, amping up racial and LGBT tensions, and not to mention wasting so much tax payer money.

His bond was set at $100,000. I mean, what's up with people? Seriously? Anyone can just make up things of this sort and go call the police and the news.

Shaking My Head

I am almost speechless now. But I do want to say that not because you are an actor, you are free to make up your own script, hire other actors, direct the scenes, act it up, film it (too bad the CCTV camera wasn't cooperating) and make it all appear as a true to life story.

Face Palm

And not because, you are in the news media, not because you are a fellow actor or actress or a show business personality, no not even because you are a politician or a social activist, that you are free to ramp up a serious allegation and throw more fuel into a fire, before you even know the whole truth. How many other instances have we seen this kind of prejudgment?

And yes, the truth may and will hurt, but it also will set you free. Reverend Al Sharpton is the only person right now who is doing what he is supposed to be doing, and I salute that.

Now what about with all those so-called big name celebrities, politicians and news outlets who again got burned by a sensational story they couldn't resist to spotlight, without waiting for all the information to come in.

Job Well Done

Thank you very much, Chicago Police and the Prosecutor's Office, well done this is what Law and Order should be.

To all the others who jumped on this creaky, full of holes bandwagon ride, please, you know who you are, the general public knows who you are. Your public awaits your next step.

And please do the right thing, do not let this lie go by and in so doing, hurt future victims.
